We are pleased to introduce the President of Al Safa International University, Prof. Dr. Othman Al-Mahdi Makael — PhD in Urban Geography from Omdurman Islamic University, and an active contributor to the development of academic programmes and to specialised scientific conferences.

Biography
Prof. Dr. Othman Al-Mahdi Makael is regarded as one of Libya’s distinguished academic and administrative figures, combining specialised scholarly expertise in development, planning and urban geography with leadership experience in the management of higher education institutions and in academic union work.
Through his presidency of Al Safa International University he continues his efforts to support the quality of university education, to strengthen scientific research, and to build academic partnerships that help prepare graduates able to serve their community and take part in the country’s development.
