Privacy Policy

How Al Safa International University collects, uses and protects your data when you use this website.

1. Data minimisation

This website collects only the data necessary to fulfil the purpose you have requested. We do not ask for surplus data, we do not use your data for commercial or advertising purposes, and we do not sell or rent it to any third party.

2. Data we collect

  • Data you provide through the forms: your name, contact details, the content of your request, and any documents you attach yourself (such as a birth certificate or passport copy in the registration form).
  • Technical data logged automatically by the server for security and performance purposes: IP address, browser type and the date of the visit.

3. Purposes of use

  • Assessing applications for enrolment and registration.
  • Responding to enquiries and handling complaints and suggestions.
  • Improving the website’s services and security.

Your data is not used for any other purpose without your explicit consent.

4. Sharing data

Your data is not shared outside the university, except in two cases: where you have explicitly agreed (such as applying for a job with a named organisation), or where sharing is required by a legal obligation from a competent authority.

5. Data retention

Data is retained for as long as is needed to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected, or for the period required by the regulations governing higher education, after which it is destroyed or converted to a form that does not permit identification.

6. Security

The website operates over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Technical and administrative controls are applied to limit unauthorised access: defined permissions for each dashboard user, scanning of uploaded files, and a block on executable file uploads.

7. Your rights

  • To see the data the university holds about you.
  • To request correction of inaccurate data.
  • To request deletion of your data, unless there is a statutory obligation to retain it.
  • To withdraw your consent at any time in respect of data provided on that basis.

To exercise any of these rights, use the contact form.

8. Privacy of minors

This website is not directed at anyone below the statutory age for higher education enrolment, and does not knowingly collect their data.

9. External links

The site may contain links to external websites. The university is not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and you are advised to review them before providing any data.

10. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as services or statutory requirements change, and any amendment is published on this page.
